REVEALING THE LOVE OF JESUS TO HIS PEOPLE, SEEING LIVES TRANSFORMED BY HIS POWER.

Our Story

In 2011, at the leading of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Rick and wife Denyse along with a few family members started Revelation Church in Lawtey, Florida. Finding and securing the building which they have since purchased was nothing short of a miracle in itself. The vision that God has given Pastor Rick, though large, can be summed up in a short phrase…. “Revealing to People the love of Jesus, seeing lives transformed by his power” Pastor Rick and Denyse, with the help of dedicated leaders and partners have seen God grown the church both spiritually, numerically, and financially. They have watched God work miracles in many lives and have seen many answers to prayer. The vision of Revelation Church is to impact Bradford County and the surrounding area with the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Power of God.

What We Believe

The Holy Scriptures

We believe that both the old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God. In these Testaments we find the complete revelation of God’s will for humanity. These Scriptures are the final authority for Christian Faith, conduct, and manner of living. (2 Timothy 2:5, Luke 1:35, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Acts 1:9, Hebrews 8:1, 1 John 2:1)

The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin named Mary. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for humanity. He was raised from the dead, ascended into heaven and is now seated at the right hand of God the Datger as our Great High Priest and Advocate. (St. John 1:1-3, Timothy 2:5, Luke 1:35, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Acts 1:9, Hebrews 8:1, 1 John 2:1)

The Fall of Man and Redemption

Man was created by God in the image of God man fell into sin and became lost, that sin nature being passed on to all humanity. Only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation/eternal life be obtained. The shed Blood of Jesus and His resurrection provided the only ground for justification and salvation. One must accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. When that happens, that person is then born-again, made a New Creation and at that time they become a child of God. (St. John 3:5-7, Romans 3:23, 4:25, 5:12, 10:9-10, 2 Corinthians 5:17&21, Titus 3:5, 1 Peter 1: 18-19)

The Holy Spirit

The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to Glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. When one makes Jesus the Lord of their life they are then born of the Spirit. During this age the Holy Spirit indwells, guides, instructs, and empowers the believer for Godly living and service. We also believe that every believer should be baptized in the Holy Spirit and that speaking with other tongues is the initial, physical sign or evidence that one has been filled with the Holy Spirit. (St. John 16:13-14, 1 Corinthians 6:19, Acts 1:8, 2:4, 10:44-46, 19:5-6)

Faith, Divine Healing, and Prosperity

The Bible tells us that without faith it’s impossible to please God. Faith in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ provides full salvation for the believer spirit, Soul, and body. This salvation includes the New Birth, Divine Healing, as well as prosperity. Christ has redeemed us from the curse which is 3-fold. We’re redeemed from spiritual death, sickness/disease, and poverty. God or Father wants us to prosper and be in health even as our soul prospers. (Hebrews 11:6, Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew 8:16-17, Galatians 3:13-14, 3rd John 2)

Marriage

The Bible recognizes marriage exclusively as a legal union between one man and one woman. Our church will not recognize, perform, or condone any marriage between individuals of the same sex gender or between more than one man and one woman. Sexual activities outside of marriage violates the teaching found in God’s Word, these activities are sinful and incompatible with scripture. (Genesis 1:26-28, 2:21-24, Leviticus 18:22, 20:13, Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

Water Baptism and Communion

The scriptures show us that Water Baptism and Communion are ordinances to be observed by the Church of Jesus Christ during this present age. These are important because they are commands given to us by the Lord Jesus himself. However, they are not to be a means of salvation but are an ordinance carried out by those who are already born-again. (Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15-20, 1 Corinthians 11:23-34)

The Return of Jesus Our Lord

The Resurrection and Eternal State: We believe the Bible teaches a personal, pre-millennial and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ. This “Blessed Hope” has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of every believer. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, of the born-again believer to everlasting joy with the Lord and the unbeliever, those that reject Jesus, to judgement and everlasting, conscious punishment. (1 Thessalonians 4:14-18, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4, Revelation 20:4-6 and v11-15)

Our Mission

The mission of Revelation Church is to intensely teach people the Word of God this enabling them to become disciples of Christ and walk victoriously in this life. The truths found in God’s Word will unveil to them the riches we’ve inherited in Christ and our Covenant rights and privileges as children of God. We endeavor to be a witness of the great truths found in the Bible such as the New Birth, Redemption, Righteousness, Faith, Love, Healing, Prosperity. The present Day ministry of the Holy Spirit, and the soon return of our Lord Jesus Christ. We desire to reach our community and the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, opening their spiritual eyes, turning them from darkness to light and from Satan to God. We will spread the good news of reconciliation with God and the complete restoration of nan with God by the Blood of Jesus Christ.

Our Vision

At Revelation Church, we believe that being able to connect with a local church is more than just becoming a member. We believe it is a partnership whereby people join their gifts, talents, and resources to change the area in which they live for the glory of God.
